Roosevelt High School Tour: Hedrick Building
As part of the Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) Heritage Education Program, architecture students from the Design and Technology Academy (DATA) at Roosevelt High School will tour the 1928 Hedrick Building with a focus on the nexus between design and architecture. Vacant since the mid-1980’s, redevelopment of this property began after it became subject to OHP’s Vacant Building Program; it will open as an extended-stay hotel in the fall.
During their tour, students will sketch their design plan on how they would use the first floor of the building. Find their sketches posted to OHP’s Facebook and Instagram accounts during the month of May.
